Free Osman Kavala website is launched

 

Turkish President Recep Erdogan’s continuing crackdown against journalists, civil society activists and others reached new levels on October 19 with the arrest of Osman Kavala, one of Turkey’s most prominent businessmen, philanthropists, and civil society activists. Still imprisoned on charges of trying to overthrow the government and “attempting to abolish the constitutional order,” news of Kavala’s arrest was reported around the world.  Now a website protesting his arrest and prmoting his release has been launched.
