CFA: CBEES Fellows Programme, Södertörn University (Deadline: April 7, 2015)

CFA: CBEES Fellows Programme, Södertörn University
Deadline: April 7, 2015

The Centre for Baltic and East European Studies (CBEES) at Södertörn University is pleased to invite applications to its CBEES Fellows programme for the period August 15 2015 to December 31, 2016.

The programme offers a period of residency at CBEES of one to three months. This year, we are directing the programme at colleagues who have received their doctorates no more than five years prior to application.  In addition to pursuing their own research projects, fellows should be active within the CBEES community in building networks and developing collaboration.

At CBEES, fellows will be provided with a workspace and computer facilities. They are expected to maintain a regular presence in our unit, including attending the weekly Advanced Seminar Series and other events.

A CBEES fellow will receive:

  • a workspace and computer facilities
  • access to Södertörn University Library and its facilities
  • the opportunity to participate in CBEES activities
  • a bursary
  • if needed, limited travel and accommodation costs.

Preference will be given to applicants who intend to use the period at CBEES in order to complete a project. This will commonly involve the completion of a manuscript or manuscripts, but other sorts of outcomes will be considered.

Applications should consist of a CV (max. 2 pages), a concise project description (max. 2 pages), and specification of the fellowship period requested. The project description should clearly indicate the anticipated outcome of the stay at CBEES. Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of the quality of their applications and their academic records. The programme is designed to be mutually beneficial for both fellows and CBEES, and topics that are relevant to research at CBEES will be prioritised.

Fellowships can be taken up between 15 August 2015 and 31 December 2016.

The deadline for applications is April 7, 2015.
