Tunisia: To Protect Victims’ Rights, Tunisian Civil Society Looks Ahead to Engaging With Truth Commission

Post the 2011 revolution in Tunisia, dialogue about the past is vital for a smooth transition into the future. For this purpose, Tunisia is setting up a Truth and Dignity Commission. It will enable 65 participants to examine the role of truth commissions in the context of transitional justice, and to assess future engagement of their organizations in Tunisia’s proposed truth commission.
